We have rented Byron's floors for our dance competition for a number of years, and have always been very satisfied with the results.
We host top ranked ballroom dancers from all over the world, and receive numerous compliments regarding the look and feel of the dance floor. In my experience, the floor:
* has a good "slide factor" (slippery enough to spin without stressing your knees, but with enough grip not to slip in dance shoes);
* is very stable and does not shift to leave cracks between panels;
* moves less than other portable floors when laid over carpet;
* does not leave marks when laid over theatre stage flooring;
* can have pieces re-cut to fit odd shaped spaces; and
* looks great.
